10 Most Unlikely NBA Finals Heroes Ever

4. Matthew Dellavedova - Cleveland Cavaliers

Although they ultimately lost the series, this year's Cleveland Cavalier squad had the unlikeliest of heroes among their ranks. Had they won the championship, there's little doubt that Matthew Dellavedova would be number one on this list. Born in a tiny Australian town, the odds seemed stacked against the 6'4" guard. He went undrafted in 2013, but proved himself as a member of the Cavs' Summer League squad. An injury to Kyrie Irving at the end of Game 1 saw Dellavedova thrust into the spotlight, suddenly the starting point guard of a team billed as massive underdogs. Although the Cavaliers eventually went down 4-2, they were able to keep the series closer than many could have imagined due to the Aussie's gutsy performances.
