10 Newcastle Stars Who Will Leave If They Are Relegated

7. Ayoze Perez

Newcastle fended off interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona in order to secure Ayoze Perez's signature last season, but it is fair to predict the Magpies will not be able to prevent the vultures from descending this summer should they be relegated. Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Barca and Real are just some of the big clubs who have been linked to Perez in recent months - and they will likely look to test the Magpies' resolve to keep the player should Newcastle be relegated. The 21-year-old Spanish forward has netted seven times in 35 Premier League appearances this season and, although he has stalled a little in the second-half of the campaign, between October and Christmas he looked unplayable at times. Perez's ingenious flick to score at The Hawthorns against West Bromwich Albion proved he has undoubted ability - and, should the Magpies be relegated, it is hard to see an offer in the region of £8 million-plus being rejected by the club. What's more, Perez will not want to play Championship football, so he would surely pine for a move if it all goes wrong on Sunday for the Toon.
