10 Newcastle Stars Who Will Leave If They Are Relegated

6. Remy Cabella

Remy Cabella may have stated in recent weeks that he "hopes" to remain at the club next season, but that is hardly pinning his colours to the mast should Newcastle find themselves playing Championship football in 2015-16, is it? Newcastle parted with £12 million to lure four-cap French international Cabella to Tyneside last summer, and the 25-year-old Corsican-born playmaker has endured a difficult first season in the North East, scoring just once and contributing only three assists in 31 Premier League appearances. And, speaking to BeIn Sports a couple of weeks ago, Cabella said of his future:
"Yes, I hope so in any case (to remain at St James' Park next season). At the moment, I am 100% there. I have signed a contract."
Although Cabella suggests he would stay on Tyneside if he had to, should a Ligue 1 side come in for the talented but frustrating playmaker then doubtless he would leave, probably for around half the fee Newcastle paid for him.
