10 NFL 2015 Match-Ups With Personal Matters On The Line
4. Bryant Is Gunna Get Some: Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers
When: Sunday December 13, 2015 (9:25pm GMT)
The Green Bay Packers certainly had many memorable games last season but this dramatic comeback win against the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs ranked high as one of the most controversial moments of a very controversial year for the NFL.
With about 4-minutes remaining, Cowboys wide-out Dez Bryant appeared to set Dallas up with a first-and-goal on the one yard line after a spectacular acrobatic 32-yard reception. But replays told an all together different story. Officials overturned the decision, which gave the Packers the ball on downs, subsequently allowing them to run the clock down and book their place in that NFC Championship game against Seattle Seahawks we just spoke about.
Although replays did confirm Bryant didn’t have total control of the ball when he landed, it no doubt left a bitter taste in Bryant and Dallas’ mouths, with many (including this writer at the time) believing last year was the Cowboys year. Bryant is an experienced, reliable and hugely effective wide receiver (who deserved his massive new contract, too) and will no doubt place Dallas’ match-up with Green Bay top of his hit list.
