10 NFL 2015 Match-Ups With Personal Matters On The Line
5. Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold: Seattle Seahawks @ Green Bay Packers
When: Sunday September 20, 2015 (10:30 GMT)
Lets flashback to the NFC Championship game last year: Green Bay Packers totally outplayed the Seattle Seahawks who were plagued by turnovers, most coming by the way of Seahawks QB Russell Wilson. However, the Seahawks staged a miraculous comeback and beat the Packers 28-22 in overtime and book their place at Super Bowl 49. However, how they toppled the Packers was after a stunning turn of events.
Seattle trailed 19-7 with four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Wilson finally decided he didn’t want to turn the ball over anymore and managed to put together a few passes and drives, cutting that Packers lead. After Wilson made it 19-14 in favour of the Seahawks, WR Chris Matthews recovered an onside kick after Packers tight-end Brandon Bostick (who’s now been sent to Minnesota Vikings) couldn’t gather the ball, and would inevitably see the Seahawks return to the Super Bowl.
It’s safe to say that last season’s NFC Championship game was one for the ages, and boy, can we not wait until both teams square off this year. It will be a footballing purists dream match, and adding this revenge dynamic and the wintery conditions of Wisconsin, it will make this a must-see. Make sure you’re comfortable when these two heavyweights collide on a cold day at Lambeau Field.
