10 NFL Rookies Who Could Set The League On Fire

8. Reuben Foster

Reuben Foster was considered by many to be the best defensive prospect in the 2017 draft class, but a diluted sample at the combine and a history of shoulder injuries sent him sliding down the draft board. His lose was the San Francisco 49ers gain, as they were able to snatch up a potential future All-Pro at the bottom of the first round.

To put it mildly, the 49ers offense is a wasteland. They have next to no skill position talent and their quarterback situation can best be described with a crying emoji that is somehow on fire. Luckily, their defense has quite a bit of talent to work with, including NaVorro Bowman, and rookies Foster and Solomon Thomas. Although Thomas was drafted higher, Foster has the better resume and a better chance of emerging quickly as a leader on the defense. His transcendental talent will allow him to wreck havoc on opposing offenses right away, and he'll set a standard for his teammates with his dedication and intensity.

The 49ers aren't going to score many points, but with Foster in front seven, they can at least make scoring points harder for their opponents.

Virgil Atkinson hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
