10 NHL Records You Won't Believe

5. Most Points By Two Brothers

Over the years, several sets of brothers have competed in the NHL: the Sedins, Espositos, and Hulls are but a few that come to mind. With so many great families in hockey history, it is a worthy question as to which pair of siblings accumulated the most points in NHL history. The answer is, of course, ridiculous.

Wayne Gretzky is perhaps the greatest hockey player to ever play the game. He accumulated 2,857 points throughout his career - no other player has ever scored more than 2,000. Gretzky’s dominance is well documented, but few people realize that Wayne’s brother, Brent, also played in the NHL. Yes, Brent Gretzky played a total of thirteen NHL games with the Tampa Bay Lightning, scoring four points in total. Because of older brother Wayne, the Gretzky’s go down in history as the highest scoring family members in NHL history with a combined point total of 2,861 - 99.86% of which belong to Wayne.

Family is about sharing, right?
