Never one to moan, he eventually got his chance again at the start of the 2007-2008 season and quickly established himself as first choice, winning the Player of the Year award for three consecutive seasons. Speroni is still at the club and with his roots firmly established in South London, Palace fans will be hoping his relationship with the club continues long after he hangs his gloves up.
