Australian Mile Jedinak took the long route to the Premier League, via Varaždin in Greece and impossible to pronounce Gençlerbirlii in Turkey, before arriving at Championship strugglers Crystal Palace. It wasn't long before his leadership and hard work paid off and his was made club captain. His status as a Palace legend was then confirmed when he scored the winner in a 3-2 win over Peterborough to send Palace into the Play-Offs at the end of the 2012-2013 season. Jedinak led Palace out at Wembley in the Play-Off final that year when they went on to beat Watford 1-0 after extra time. Since signing 2011, Jedinak has gone on to play one hundred and fifty eight times for the club so far and has helped establish the club as Premier League side.
