Many have compared Wayne Rooney to Gascoigne, especially when he first broke through into the Everton first team. A similar bull-like way of playing and some seriously brilliant goals drew such comparisons. The idea that Rangers could sign Wayne Rooney is obviously crazy, but they did sign Paul Gasgoigne back in '95.
