10 People Alan Pardew Has Most P*ssed Off

5. Carlos Tevez

In hindsight, it has become very obvious that Alan Pardew wasn't exactly over-impressed with the opportunity to sign Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano for West Ham. Despite them being genuine world class talents, the manager wasn't entirely sure what to do with them, and unthinkably the future world stars found themselves sitting on the bench. In the wake of Pardew's sacking at West Ham, Tevez was all too happy to talk about his ousted boss, suggesting that he probably should have been sacked sooner. €œI was surprised to see how long Pardew held on to the job in the end. €œIn Argentina or Brazil he would have been out long ago. It was clear the team did not react as he wanted €” it wasn€™t going right." In chilling foresight for his mismanagement of some of Newcastle's best players, Tevez also accused Pardew of playing him out of position and in a system that simply did not suit him: €œI had to sacrifice myself for the team which I don€™t think helped. I was playing in ways I did not understand well and I lost a lot from my own game. It didn€™t fit where he put me, but I wanted to help.€ Pardew's treatment of Tevez and team-mate Mascherano says a lot about the problems he is currently over-seeing at Newcastle: "I don't think he had a clear idea about my game or what to do. He was good football man but more suited to coaching English teams without foreign players with big reputations."
