10 Players Who Didn't Fulfil Their Potential At Arsenal
4. Thomas Eisfeld
After joining Arsenal as a promising yet raw young talent in 2012, Thomas Eisfeld stayed unfortunately confined to the club's youth setup. This is a surprising shame, given that Arsene Wenger was extremely complimentary of the German's skills when the Gunners signed him and even predicted he would have a big international future as well. Eisfeld was seen as a typical midfielder to fit Arsenal's passing style of play. Possessing an excellent first touch and with the right passing range, Eisfeld's pre season outings with Arsenal's first team have always suggested he could fit right into the senior setup. When complimented he has drawn parallels with Arsenal's own Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey and is even of a similar age and build to these two established first teamers. Eisfeld's inclusion here is fairly harsh as he wasn't really given much chance to fulfil his potential with Arsenal's first team. It is worth noting him here, however, as he has now signed a permanent deal with rival London club Fulham. Here he will likely secure more first team action, and it would be to the club's advantage if he did. This is a player who, despite not fulfilling his potential at Arsenal, will find his feet at Fulham. Do not be surprised to see him back in the Premier League before too long.
