However, there is the little matter of giving up his big chance to play week in week out on the big world stage. The exciting forward had everything in his arsenal to play as a lone striker. While combined with Welbeck, especially during the shock demolition of Chelsea, Gyan showed himself one of the most exciting strikers to grace the Premier League in recent times, let alone swell Sunderland€™s then impressive forward line. Later in his only season with the club, Gyan would score an impressive late goal past England for his country, and following the hype surrounding him the next day the Ghana would barely put another shift in for us. At the beginning of the following season, his agent would manufacture a move into the middle of the desert somewhere to play his football in front of around 200 spectators per match, while picking up a sizable pay rise in the process. But surely, that couldn€™t have been comparable to playing in the English Premier League€
