10 Players That Stole A Living From West Ham

1. Kieron Dyer

Finally, Kieron Dyer (pictured above in the kit he's distinctly more accustomed to). Kieron Dyer is a player who is just as famous for his list of injuries as he is for his footballing talent, and a name that was on this list before the writing stage even began. Any Hammers fan would be hard pushed to think of a reason why he shouldn't be. West Ham purchased the then 28 year old Kieron Dyer, who was already starting to find his name on the injury list at an ever alarming rate, for a fee in the region of £6 million. Ten days after his debut for the Hammers, he broke his leg in two places and was out for 17 months. This would subsequently plague his playing career, and after just 30 appearances in four seasons, and no goals to his name, he left at the end of his contract to be once again hounded by injuries at QPR. Between both Kieron Dyer and Freddie Ljungberg, their appearances cost West Ham almost £1 million per game. With figures like that it isn€™t hard to see why the club almost went bust.
