10 Footballers Too Good For Their Current Clubs

1. William Carvalho - Sporting Lisbon

Sporting Lisbon have unearthed a number of talented players throughout the past decade, with the likes of Nani, Cristiano Ronaldo, Joaoa Moutinho and Miguel Veloso all perfecting their craft in the Portuguese capital before making headlines elsewhere. It looks like they€™ve got another future superstar on their hands in current icon William Carvalho. The explosive midfielder has already garnered widespread plaudits from across Europe and is regularly linked with a move to the continent€™s elite clubs. A string of superb individual displays at this summer€™s U21 European Championships has certainly helped his cause, and his undeniable talent has already been rewarded with 13 senior caps for Seleccao. At 23, it is quite frightening to think what he could achieve in the sport. However, he will need to move away from Portugal to truly reach his potential. Lisbon has served him well, but he€™s definitely outgrown the club. A move is absolutely vital if he is going to become a world superstar. Will it come this summer? Let€™s hope so.
