10 Footballers Too Good For Their Current Clubs

6. Demba Ba - Shanghai Shenhua

Make no mistake; Demba Ba is not a world class striker. However, the Senegalese international possesses a keen eye for goal and has a real knack of finding the target, as fans of West Ham, Newcastle, Chelsea and Besiktas would all confirm. Last season, the 30-year-old was the leading scorer in Turkey€™s Super Lig. Following the departure of manager Slaven Bilic to West Ham, it soon became obvious that Ba would follow his former coach through the Vodafone Arena exit door. Very few would€™ve foreseen China as his next destination. Granted, the money in Shanghai is great and you can€™t be overly critical of his decision. Nonetheless, it is a real shame to see a player that offers so much plying his trade at such a poor level. There€™s no question that he could€™ve still done a job in Europe.
