MLS is understandably a very appealing prospect for star players coming towards the twilight of their careers. This summer alone has seen the likes of Frank Lampard, Andrea Pirlo and Steven Gerrard make their way across the Atlantic. However, at 28 years of age, Sebastian Giovinco surely had more to give to the Europes elite leagues. The Italian never truly hit it off in Turin with Juventus, but he was quality during his loan spell at Parma. His natural flair and creativity make him a fantastic playmaker or second striker, which has already demonstrated during his brief career in Canada. He is the highest paid player in MLS, so we can certainly understand the attraction. Nevertheless, the Italian could definitely perform at a higher level.
