Signed on the evidence of performances on video, Sebastien Rozental didn't exactly acclimatise to living in Scotland's biggest city. Glasgow was like alien territory for the Chilean, and his 3-year spell at Ibrox couldn't end soon enough. Bagging goals aplenty for his previous club in South America, Universidad Catolica, Rozental couldn't transfer that form to Rangers. Joining Rangers in 1997 for £4 million, the striker was loaned back out to his former employer by 1999. Eventually, he would join Grasshopper Zurich in 2001, scoring only one goal. At least he managed a trio of strikes for Glasgow Rangers, but there were never any signs of him settling into life at the Scottish institution. Only 17 appearances in 3 seasons on the Ibrox payroll was simply not enough. The manager who signed him, Walter Smith, didn't say much about Rozental, but his successor was none too happy. Dick Advocaat simply told the media that the player hadn't settled, and that was that. The whole thing was a complete waste of time, and Rozental never made a splash in Europe.
