8. Luuk De Jong/Siem De Jong
The brothers have openly admitted a desire to play in the same team as each other and, had it not been for Luuk's disastrous loan spell at St James' Park, their wish could have came true. Instead, they ended up passing each other in the revolving doors on Tyneside. The first De Jong signing occurred at a time when the Magpies desperately needed some firepower in 2014. Having been keen admirers of the youngest of the siblings during his FC Twente days, Newcastle finally sealed a deal for Luuk after he struggled to impress in Germany with Borussia Monchengladbach. However, a severe lack of match practice and a tendency to play the forward out of position meant that his time with the club can be classed as a huge failure as the Dutchman failed to score a single goal in his 12 appearances for the club. Greater things were expected when Siem - PSV's club captain - joined Alan Pardew's regime. But once again it appears that the De Jong name is destined for failure at St James' Park as the playmaker struggles to break into Steve McClaren's team when he is actually fit. With Luuk shining once again in the Dutch league and European competitions with PSV, Siem continues to be a regular on the treatment table at St James' Park and he may look to follow his brother out of Tyneside in a bid to kickstart his career.
