It was the end of the 2015/16 season and the fairytale had come true. Leicester City were champions of England!

Of course, many expected their squad to be ripped to shreds, with their new-found superstars set to be high on the shopping lists of the big boys. But, under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri, the Foxes managed to keep the core of their title-winning team together.

With N'Golo Kante the only major player to leave the club, Jamie Vardy surprised many when he turned down Arsenal's advances, claiming that he wanted to build on what he'd achieved at the King Power Stadium.

Obviously, as it turned out, Leicester faltered in their bid to retain the Premier League crown, and apart from a half-decent maiden Champions League campaign and a hefty new contract, Vardy must wonder if he made the right choice.

Now looking ahead to a season without European football, the 30-year-old will look to regain the form that helped the Foxes achieve the unexpected as the World Cup looms.
