10 Popular UFC Fighters That Will Never Be Champion

8. Nate Diaz

Current Lightweight, 17-9, Age 29 Winner of The Ultimate Fighter 5, Diaz the Younger is technically inactive in the UFC although previous to his refusal to accept a fight, he was a title contender. Well, Nick Diaz is active again, and if Nate is anything it€™s a puppy dog for his big brother. He will be back fighting soon. He has impressive wins over top guys in the class, Donald Cerrone, Gray Maynard, and Jim Miller, but some key losses as well, Josh Thompson and then champion Ben Henderson. When he does return for the paychecks he laments so, who knows what weight class it will be. He has an impossible wall of competitor€™s at Middleweight, so it would only make sense it would be back to Lightweight. But really it will be for whatever fights that he gets paid the most. Also working against him is the logjam for title shots because Champion Anthony Pettis seems to always be hurt. There is no doubt that Nate has the ability to defeat the guys to get to the top, but the hard facts say he will instead focus on the money since that is truly what he loves.
