10 Predictions For 2015 Major League Baseball Season

10. San Francisco And Kansas City Will Both Miss The Playoffs

The Giants beat the Royals in the World Series last year in a thrilling seven game series. It came down to the wire with the Royals having a chance to win, but they just couldn't do it. The Giants won their third World Series in five years. What will they do next? Miss the playoffs. San Francisco lost a key hitter like Pablo Sandoval to the Red Sox and didn't really replace him. They have an aging pitching staff. Relying on the likes of Matt Cain, Jake Peavy and Tim Hudson to all stay healthy in their mid-30s is asking a lot. Most teams have young pitchers they bring up. It seems like the Giants are lacking in that regard since they are sending the older guys out there. Madison Bumgarner (the World Series MVP) is a legit number one guy, but after that it's questionable. This is probably going to upset some Royals fans, but it needs to be said that last year a lot of things went right for them. They were healthy for much of the year, they barely got into the playoffs and when they got in the playoffs they went on an incredible run before losing to San Fran. They had a great bullpen that carried them in close games. A huge loss for them was when their best starting pitcher James Shields left for San Diego. While Shields isn't a truly elite pitcher, he was the best they had and it's going to be very hard to replace him. Both teams made the World Series as wild card teams last year meaning they barely got in there. This time they won't be as lucky.
