10 Reasons For England Fans To Be Optimistic After World Cup 2018

4. Exciting Prospects

Recent results in youth competitions have given England fans plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the future. In just the last couple of years, England's U20, U19 and U17 squads have all won major competitions. Perhaps most impressive of all was the U17s win at the 2017 World Cup, and all of these great results bode very well for the future.

Of course, there's a huge difference between the level of competition in youth and senior squads, but the fact that England's youngsters have been doing so well can only be a good thing, and it'll be exciting to see those same players progress in the years to come and perhaps make their breakthroughs into the senior side.

The likes of Phil Foden, Mason Mount, Jadon Sancho, Ryan Sessegnon, and several others are being tipped to shine for the Three Lions in the future. While other countries are worried about their next generation of footballers, England seems to have a lot of great talent waiting in the wings.
