There's no reward for loyalty these days is there? Well, maybe it's time to buck this trend in Jonas' honour. Jonas is one of the most loyal players in Newcastle United's history. He was one of the better players that stayed with the club when they plunged into The Championship in 2009. It's not as if there wouldn't have been any takers for The Argentine either. He was arguably Newcastle's star player during that fateful relegation campaign. Or at least the only player in black and white to come out of it with any form on credibility. He played a huge part in hauling the club back from the abyss. And when you consider his contribution in the second half of this season especially, it really does make you wonder where the club would be without him.
