10 Reasons Real Madrid Are The Best Side In Europe

2. A Host Of World Stars

At the end of the day, with all the other factors taken into consideration, the main reasons why Real Madrid are the best side in Europe occur on the pitch. Without having a host of world stars in their squad Madrid would not have enjoyed the recent success that they have. Barcelona have one huge name in Lionel Messi in their current fit squad. Neymar is a quality footballer but is recovering from a nasty injury. AC Milan seem to be struggling to sign any star players, whilst Bayern Munich recently sold one of their top midfielders to Madrid. Things are different at the Bernebau as Real Madrid consistently pack their team with a host of world names. Cristiano Ronaldo, the winner of the 2014 Ballon d'Or, is considered by many to be the greatest player in world football at the moment. Last season he scored 31 La Liga goals as well as 17 in the Champions League making him the top scorer in both competitions. These are astounding figures and ones which we have become used to when it comes to Ronaldo at Real Madrid. He is undoubtedly a class player and on his own is a major factor in Real's success. Added to Ronaldo, Madrid's débutante Gareth Bale scored 15 league goals as well as his incredible solo goal in the Copa del Rey final that led Madrid to lift the title. Alongside consistent stars such as Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos, these players make up a formidable starting 11 and put Real Madrid as the favourites for almost every match they play. The best team in the world has the best players, and Real Madrid certainly command a great deal of those.
