10 Reasons Real Madrid Are The Best Side In Europe

1. The New And Prospective Signings

As well as already having numerous world stars, in order for Real Madrid to be considered the best side in Europe they need to continue to make high profile signings. That is exactly what they have done in this transfer window. Madrid have all-but secured the services of Keylor Navas who is set to sign a contract with the club after signing for a reported £7.9 million from Levante. The Costa Rican goalkeeper performed brilliantly and consistently throughout the World Cup and therefore attracted the attention of a host of clubs. Madrid look set to agree terms with the keeper and in doing so strengthen their already solid defensive line. However, the most exciting developments at Real Madrid have come in the midfield. The club signed German World Cup Star Toni Kroos for a reported £24 million, a signing that has delighted fans. Kroos made 522 successful passes with a 90% accuracy during the World Cup, more than any other player in the tournament. His flare, determination and clear accuracy will make him a highly beneficial signing for Madrid. The midfielder himself has highlighted that he thinks Real Madrid are the best team in Europe. He claims his move is a "step up" in his career even though he leaves a Bayern Munich side that won the Champions League just two seasons ago. He wants to win major trophies and feels that Real Madrid is the place to do this, clearly highlighting his opinion that the Spanish side is the best in Europe. A further way in which Real Madrid could stamp their authority as the best side in Europe is by securing the signing of Colombian ace James Rodriguez. The midfield maestro won the Golden Boot at this years World Cup by scoring six goals, including an unstoppable volley against Uruguay. Since then he has been the focal point for a number of clubs but looks set for a move to Madrid. By combining their prestige, wealth and success it appears that Real Madrid will once again get their man and prove why they are the top side in Europe. Bayern Munich and Barcelona have been relatively inactive in the transfer window and instead seem to be relying on their current talent. Differently, Manchester United have made a few signings, but no stand-out players of the calibre of Madrid's signings. The key to success at the top level is commanding a strong squad of top quality players, and by making high-profile signings, Real Madrid continue to grow in strength.
