Some of the opponents he has faced on the MMA side of things have been incredibly experienced and durable fighters. Most notably, he fought Nick Diaz for the Strikeforce welterweight championship back in April 2011. He has beaten the likes of current UFC lightweight Jorge Masvidal along with veterans such as Scott Smith and Luigi Fioravanti. Daley has obviously kept himself busy with different opponents and is averaging almost 4 fights a year since leaving the UFC. Taking some time out to focus on kickboxing has been good for Paul as well. He gets to hone his craft as a punishing striker and improve his record too.
