Steven Caulker is Spurs through and through. The London-born defender joined the club as a youth player in 2007 and signed professional terms in 2009. Following a series of loan spells at Yeovil Town, Bristol City and Swansea City, he finally broke in to the first team in the 2012-13 season, having signed a new four year contract with the club in July of 2012. So impressive was Caulker in his brief foray in to the Spurs first team (he only made eighteen Premier League appearances in all his time at the club), he earned an England cap in 2012 - scoring against Sweden on his debut. He was seen as the new Ledley King and Spurs fans had very high hopes for him - yet he was sold to then-newly promoted Premier League rivals Cardiff City for a club record £8 million in July of 2013. Cardiff were relegated that same season and he has now joined former boss Harry Redknapp at Queens Park Rangers alongside fellow former Spurs players Sandro and Niko Kranjcar - a huge step down for the promising centre back.
