There was a time when Aaron Lennon, and not Gareth Bale, was Spurs hottest young prospect, terrorising defenders with his electrifying pace. In his tenth season at White Hart Lane, the 27 year old has over 350 appearances for the club and is the current squads longest-serving member. It looks as though the curtains will come down on his time in north London after a decade, with Mauricio Pochettino granting him just one start in the Premier League so far this term. Indeed, Lennon has failed to even make the bench on five separate occasions - it doesnt look good for him, as he has fallen down the pecking order. Pochettinos style of play relies on guile and technical ability rather than pure pace - the primary facet of Lennons game. Having turned down Stoke City and QPR in the summer, Lennon might just wish that he hadnt been so hasty, with game-time so hard to come by at White Hart Lane. With his England career just a hazy memory, the 27 year old might have to move on to resurrect a fledgling career - although with Pochettino looking for some funds to inject his squad with some extra bodies, it might not be his choice.
