10 Stages Of Realisation That David Moyes Is Not The Right Man For Man Utd
2. Blaming The Referees
Out of the FA Cup, out of the title race, little prospect of winning the League Cup and zero chance of winning the Champions League, you'd think David Moyes would shoulder the blame, or point the finger at one or two of his misfiring stars. Instead, he blamed the whistle blowers, saying his side are "playing referees as well as the opposition" in the wake of - what he perceives at least - one or two contentious decisions against his side. His claims ring hollow. United's problems aren't the referee, it's their horrible midfield, their dodgy defenders and the civil war that threatens to force Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney out of the club if things don't change. All Moyes achieved with slating the refs was a misconduct charge and negative press for the club.
