He always says 'you never know' whenever asked about a return to Old Trafford for himself, but legend has it that Cristiano Ronaldo played a big part in convincing Angel Di Maria to take his old shirt number at United. Di Maria had an offer from Paris Saint Germain before they labelled him 'too expensive,' (the nerve of those guys!) but the world's best player said life in Manchester is enjoyable and United are one of the best clubs on the planet to play for. Ronaldo must have been persuasive too, especially as Di Maria was sacrificing Champions League football this season in order to turn out at the Theatre of Dreams. He's since completed his move and got into the swing of things, but Di Maria has even hinted that Ronaldo is unhappy in Madrid recently. It couldn't happen could it?
