10 Things Ronda Rousey Must Do To Regain Her UFC Title

9. Keep Her Emotions In Check

If you watched the weigh-ins for UFC 193, and the face-off that followed between Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm, then you witnessed a champion unable to keep her emotions in check. Rousey and Holm clashed at the meeting, and Rousey was absolutely the instigator. Then, immediately before the fight, Rousey refused to touch gloves. Lady Gaga would later tweet "that's what you get for not touching gloves" - suggesting that Karma had put Rousey in her place. Look a little further back, however, and you'll see a pattern with Rousey. She was just as antagonistic with the likes of Bethe Correia (deserved after tasteless comments Correia made about Rousey's deceased father, though she later claimed to be unaware the man had died) and Miesha Tate (less deserved, but the two are bitter rivals). In short, Rousey almost always lets her emotions come into play - which, in some cases, works to her advantage. However, when facing a pinpoint striker and tactician like Holm, it's a bad approach. Emotions tend to cloud vision and impact decision making, which in turn means game plans and common sense go out the window. Before Rousey even considers facing Holm again, she needs to learn to control her emotions.
