10 Things Tiger Woods Wants You To Forget

10. The 2000 Masters At Augusta National

If anyone else finished 5th at Augusta National in the Masters they would probably be rubbing their hands together and collecting the large paycheck as well as the praise and respect of the golfing community. When Tiger finished 5th in 2000 at 6 shots behind Vijay Singh he had already claimed his first green jacket in record form a few years earlier and would go on to win the tournament the following two years. This particular Masters, however, would only become so important by the end of the season. Tiger went on to win all of the following major championships in 2000 and then won the Masters in 2001 thus completing what has since become known as the €œTiger Slam.€ Had Woods known that he was going to win the other three majors, he might have been able to squeeze out some more excellent golf to have taken home his second green jacket one year earlier and been the only player in history to win the grand slam of all four majors in the same year. Since 2000 Tiger has won 2 majors in three other years but has not come close again to completing the grand slam.
