10 Things UFC Want You To Forget About Tito Ortiz

5. Light Heavyweight Record

Ufc Wins After UFC 172's title bout in which Jon Jones put on a clinic in avoiding a powerful puncher en route to a comfortable unanimous decision victory over Glover Teixera PPV buyers were given some on-screen stats regarding wins in the Light Heavyweight division. Topping the list was Jon Jones who now apparently held the record for most wins with 14. Now, to a newer or more casual fan nothing would seem awry but fans who had been around the sport for a while knew all too well that Ortiz €“ with his 15 wins in the division €“ deserved to be on top. Of course, this outraged many people who took to twitter and forums to express their disgust at the UFC for trying to rewrite history. Ken Shamrock, the man who once called Tito a 'bitch monkey' even took to twitter to express his shock that the UFC had tried to swindle his old rival. On this occasion the UFC showed that if they really wanted us, the fans, to forget something, they had no issue with meddling with the facts. Unfortunately for them, MMA fans aren€™t quite as fickle as they clearly believe us to be. In an ironic twist, the UFC would now love for us to forget when they tried to deny Tito of his achievements.
