10 Things We Learned During Newcastle’s Summer Transfer Window
4. Adam Armstrong's Stock Grew More Than It Ever Would Have Done At Newcastle
Adam Armstrong was finally loaned out in order to further his development and he has already achieved more in the first month of the new season than he would have achieved in the Newcastle squad. The 18-year-old has scored five goals in five games in League One and helped Coventry City to fifth place spot in the league. The hope is that Steve McClaren can integrate Armstrong into his set-up at the end of the season and he can use his lower division experience to begin to compete at the top level. It would be a shame if the England U18's international didn't succeed at the Magpies as he's clearly a very fine young footballer.
