This is comfortably the most controversial takeaway from last night, but it's certainly not intended to be a major issue. Lee Cattermole signed a new deal to the rapturous celebrations of fans everywhere, and rightly so. He's the heartbeat of the team, and without him, the midfield looks lost. However, he still needs to be careful. After just 8 minutes, it was his messy error that allowed Darlington to break away and score; it's not the first time he's done similar either. He's an inspirational figure in the side, but he still needs to be careful and disciplined in the middle. Obviously it's the start of pre-season so rustiness is expected, but remember Cattermole is only human. Well, possibly.
