Bearing in mind, Spurs hadn't won at Old Trafford since 1989 when this Premier League game was played the ball fell to Portuguese midfielder Pedro Mendes near the halfway line in the very last minute. He attempted to lob goalkeeper Roy Carroll, who fumbled his shot a whole yard over the goal-line. Referee Mark Clattenburg and his assistant Rob Lewis were too far away to see and allowed play to carry on.
