A tough fighter, he really showed heart in the Werdum fight, refusing to go down despite taking a severe beating. Turn the clock back just a little to his bout with Alistair Overeem and you'll see similar perseverance - Browne was almost taken out by The Reem in a flurry of strikes early in the first round but overcame the onslaught, came back, and knocked Overeem down with a front kick and strikes of his own. Prior to that his only recent loss was to Bigfoot Silva, which had more to do with an injured leg than really getting beat. And speaking of Bigfoot....
