10 U20 World Cup Stars Premier League Sides Should Sign
4. Riccardo Orsolini
Posted by Riccardo Orsolini on Monday, January 16, 2017
Currently At: Ascoli (On Loan From Juventus)
Position: Winger
The winner of the Under 20 World Cup Golden Shoe, Orsolini joins a select group of outstanding young talents, that comprised of Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero in the past, to win the prestigious award.
A Left-footed winger, Orsolini has all the raw abilities to become a world beater, offering rapid speed, sublime dribbling skills and slick finishing. Stating himself that he prefers to play on the right so he can cut in on his left, Arjen Robben esque, Orsolini built on some terrific displays for Ascoli in Serie B last season with another great showing at the World Cup.
His performances didn't go unnoticed either as Juventus snapped up Italy's brightest prospect in January, for a fee of €6 million with a further €4 million depending on bonuses. Such a statement of intent, not only shows how highly he is rated in Italy but also means it's next-to impossible that Juventus could be persuaded to part with him permanently.
However, they could very well be considered to let him gain some experience out on loan and hopefully in that case, we'll get to see him play his trade in the Prem this season.
Clubs That He'd Suit: Leicester, Southampton, Brighton
