3. Yangel Herrera

Currently At: New York City (On Loan From Manchester City)
Position: Midfielder
Manchester City loanee Yangel Herrera has undoubtedly been the hidden gem of the tournament, captaining Venezuela to runners up in the tournament. From the first whistle, Herrera ran the midfield, allowing the players in front of him like Penaranda to shine.
After some great performances in the South American Youth Championships last July, he was snapped up by Manchester City in January before being immediately being loaned out.
Whilst he possess an abundance of potential it's unlikely he'll feature much, if at all, for Man City next season with the established quality they have in the middle of the park already. At this stage in his development it's crucial he plays first team football and it's highly likely Man City will loan him out once more and another Premier League club should be at the front of the pecking order.
Herrera is an all-action, box-to-box midfielder best appreciated for his physical resilience and stamina. Herrera excels at the simple stuff, keeping play neat and tidy and allowing the flashier players in front of him to tick. He also proved he can score and finished the tournament with the Bronze ball.
Clubs That He'd Suit: Brighton, Stoke, West Ham
