10 UFC Fighters Who Need To Retire

1. Big Nog

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veAUflDtwTU Big Nog. Minotauro. Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira is the more heralded of the Nogueira brothers, and has held gold in both Pride, where he was heavyweight champion (Pride's first), and the UFC, where he was interim heavyweight champion. He went pro a few years before his twin, and has had the more memorable career of the two, fighting Fedor three times in his prime, Josh Barnett twice, and Frank Mir twice. His recent career, however, has been depressing, and like his smaller brother, his body is breaking down. Nog is 34€“9€“1 (1) over his career, but is 3-5 in his last eight fights, and has been KO'd three times in those five losses. The last loss, however, was the final nail in the coffin. The UFC paired him up against the fighter they seem to send out when it's time to put old fighters out to pasture: Roy Nelson, a guy you can't knock out, but who will knock you into the front row if you're slow enough, or unaware enough, to stand anywhere in the vicinity of his right hand. Nelson sent Cro Cop packing from the UFC. He sent Cheick Kongo packing from the UFC. And frankly, his fight with Big Nog should send Minotauro into retirement. The Brazilian legend shambled forward like a zombie throughout the first and only round of their fight, frequently walking straight into powerful shots from Big Country, until the Pride legend was caught and went down stiff as a board. It was so painful to watch I actually avoided replays for months after this bout. You never want to see a fighter go out like this. Big Nog is apparently looking for another fight, but does anyone really need to see this happen again?
