10 World Footballers Premier League Clubs Should Sign This Summer
2. Sergej Milinković-Savić (Lazio)
Having hit double figures from midfield this season in Serie A, Lazio's Sergej Milinković-Savić has been compared by many observers to a young Paul Pogba.
That alone is probably sufficient for us to rule out a switch to Manchester United. Jose Mourinho is having enough trouble trying to bring the best out of Pogba himself; adding another central player of the same (or even similar) mould sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Chelsea, on the other hand, could be an option. The club probably need a new midfielder in the summer, if not as an outright replacement for struggling £40m man Tiémoué Bakayoko, then at least as a contingency option should his form not pick up after a full pre-season.
That's if the FA Cup finalists can afford him, anyway. Milinković-Savić, an all-rounder with a skill-set that is rare to find in the modern game, is likely to cost a bomb. Expect a fee of at least £60m, and possibly more if more multiple clubs become involved.
