Born on the 4th of January in 1999, 19-year-old Daniel Arzani was just 7 years old when his fellow countryman, Tim Cahill, was scoring his first World Cup goal at the 2006 tournament. This summer, the Melbourne City youngster might actually get to play alongside Cahill as Australia aim to negotiate a tricky group featuring France, Peru, and Denmark.

An exciting attacking midfielder who can also double up as a winger if needed, Arzani is one of Australia's more intriguing young talents. Highly confident in his own skills, Arzani plays with a casual ease that belies his years and was rightfully rewarded with the Young Footballer of the Year award at the end of the latest Australian domestic season.

He hasn't appeared for his country's senior side yet but is highly rated by Socceroos fans and is regarded as a bit of an X factor in the Australian squad, capable of turning games around with his smart passing skills and fearless playing style. Definitely one to watch this summer!
