10 Youth Prospects Who Could Change Arsenal's Future

2. Chuba Akpom

Chuba Akpom stood out during Arsenal's preseason tour of Asia last year and has already shown his talent again this year with the Gunners enduring a shortage of strikers in their opening games.

Akpom had his Premier League debut in last September, coming on during the latter stages of Arsenal's 3-1 win away to Sunderland and he was also included in Arsene Wenger's squad for the Champions League group game against Olympiacos last season as an indication of how the manager views his talent.

After an impressive first half of the season for the under-21s side, he was sent on a short term loan at Brentford and he finished the campaign at Coventry City though he failed to score at both clubs having been limited to 10 appearances in total.

With Nicklas Bendtner, and Ju-Young Park having already left and the very real possibility that Sanogo could leave on loan and no new strikers brought it, there may yet be space in Arsenal's squad for a talented young forward like Akpom next season. Even if that doesn't pan out, the young striker really does have the talent to play for the club at some stage in the near future.
