11 Best Players In The Premier League's Top 6 Teams
7. Cesc Fabregas
When Fabregas departed Arsenal for Barcelona in the summer of 2011, it was seen as the perfect move for the then 24-year-old. He was returning to his boyhood club and was ready to mature into one of the world's best players. Surprisingly, his time at Camp Nou just didn't work out. The midfielder often found himself being played too high up the pitch, sometimes as a 'false nine', or on the substitutes' bench, and he found it extremely difficult to usurp the likes of Sergio Busquets, Xavi and Andres Iniesta in his more favoured position in the first-team. Despite his disappointing time in Spain, Fabregas remains a truly world-class player, with wonderful creativity, excellent finishing and a great team ethic. His move to Chelsea will give him a new lease of life, and he will be looking to prove a number of doubters wrong. Now 27, he is in his prime of his career, and he should flourish under Jose Mourinho. He will be played in a deeper, more effective role, and expect him to be a big reason for Chelsea's probable title win next May. His debut against Burnley last week was mesmerising at times.
