11 Newcastle Players Who Fell Out With Managers

7. Yohan Cabaye Vs The Club

Another huffy Frenchman. He might be remembered as a hero by Newcastle fans praying for a loan return this January from PSG, but it should not be forgotten that Cabaye had angled to get out of the club well before he was eventually sent to France by Joe Kinnear. On the eve of the season last year, Arsene Wenger was said to be sniffing round the player - choosing a typically inappropriate time as usual - and Cabaye reacted with grace by falling out with Alan Pardew and going on strike to try and force a move. Unfortunately for him, Arsenal wouldn't pay the valuation, and he was forced to tuck his tail between his legs, but not before taking some almighty stick from fans.
