11 Players Spurs Want You To Forget They Signed

Defender €“ Paolo Tramezzani

The archetypical journeyman defender, Tramezzani had never spent more than a full season at a club before leaving Piacenza for Spurs for £1.5 million in 1998. Technically proficient, but unable to cope with the hectic pace of the English game, Tramezzani picked up an injury early on and never got a look in after that. A Christian Gross signing, the writing was on the wall for the defender when Gross€™ replacement George Graham took over. Tramezzani wanted to be treated for his injury in Italy, Graham disagreed and ordered him to stay in London. In all, Tramezzani managed a meagre 7 games in 2 years for Spurs, before being released and joining Pistoiese.
