Spurs supporters have had their fair share of flair players to enjoy over the years. Unfortunately, too many of these players have gone missing when the chips are down. Portuguese winger, Jose Dominguez falls firmly into this category. A diminutive winger, capable of terrific skill, Dominguez was far too often a passenger when Spurs were struggling. Gerry Francis tolerated this, while Christian Gross used the winger as an impact player off the bench. George Graham, however, had no time for such workshy wingers and left him to rot in the reserves before packing him off to Kaiserslautern.
