11 Reasons Spurs Fans Should Be Concerned

1. They Don't Look Any Better Than Last Year

It's only early days and Spurs have shown at least some encouraging signs this season - the battling ten-man victory against West Ham United, Erik Lamela's improved performances and a point at top four rivals Arsenal, for example - but, all things considered, they're yet to really look any better than they did last season. That's very worrying, when you consider that they only managed a sixth place finish and the likes of Manchester United and Southampton - Mauricio Pochettino's old club - both of whom finished below them last season, are looking extremely strong. Spurs are making the same mistakes and suffering from the same problems as they did last season - the aforementioned defensive and goalscoring issues, most prominently - and this trend will continue unless they give Pochettino time. New managers need a couple of seasons to put their stamp on the club and constantly changing bosses will only keep setting Spurs back. They may have to settle for a season of maintaining the status quo - and keeping faith in Mauricio Pochettino if that happens could be key for future successes after a season of transition. So there you have it - ten reasons why Spurs fans should be concerned. Did you enjoy this article? Do you agree with the entries on this list? What other concerns should Spurs fans have?
