If Newcastle want an eccentric man at the helm - which you really get the feeling they do not - then Marcelo Bielsa could be the perfect candidate. The 59-year-old is extremely experienced - having managed nine clubs and national sides, including Chile as well as his native Argentina - and he is available having left his role at Marseille. West Ham United are also believed to looking at the 59-year-old, whose trademark is to use a 3-3-3-1 formation, where there is a rapid transition from defending to attacking. Diego Simeone and Mauricio Pochettino are just two Argentine managers who have been influenced by Bielsa's high-pressing style - and the ex-Marseille boss is meticulous with his preparation, even measuring opposition pitches to the nearest centimetre. Bielsa is known to criticise those above him at clubs, however, and therefore - despite a Twitter campaign to get the Argentine appointed on Tyneside - it is unlikely that Lee Charnley and Mike Ashley will bring him to the club.
